The New World Sucks
Literally. I went to the movies tonight to see "The New World" starring Collin Farrell. What a big steaming pile of..... OK, the cinematography was amazing, but it was a 2 and a half hour movie, and less than an hour and a half in, i thought it had been three hours. The slowest moving and most pointless big budget movie of all time. I walked out after an hour and a half. I'm usually very easily entertained, and it takes ALOT for me to walk out of a movie, but this one was just that bad. So much for a saturday night movie. I came back and mixed, and enjoyed that way better than the movie. Anybody seen anything really good lately?

I saw "Crash" last night - its a great movie with an interesting score, check it out.
On Thursday, I'm going to dinner with Emily Lazar (and all the folks from The Lodge) - has she mastered any of your work? You got any tricky questions for her?

I second that opinon, Crash is a great movie, great music. One of my favorite!
Also, having worked at two movie theatres, I'm pretty wide open to watching any movie that comes out. But movies staring Colin Farrel are the only movies i've ever walked out on, those being Alexander & Phone Booth. Coincidence that they both had Colin Farrel? I think not... Anywho, I'll heed your warning and prevent myself from walking out a third time.
